Cedar Park residents weathered severe thunderstorms last night. Yet, while the storms brought heavy rain and hail to Cedar Park, the area fared better than much of central Austin, where fallen trees have knocked out power to thousands of residents.
The Austin Statesman and News 8 Austin report this morning that 30,000 Austin residents lost power last night. Approximately 19,000 residents and a number of AISD schools are still without power this morning.
